Lismore

Growth
Lismore is a picturesque and historic town in west Waterford. As is typical with historic towns, the population of the town centre itself is stagnant, however, the population of the rural area surrounding Lismore grew by 12.7% between 2002 – 2006. 

Infrastructure

Road
Lismore is located approximately 22km from Dungarvan on the N72 National Secondary Route that connects Dungarvan and Mallow. The approach/access roads to the town, all provide an attractive influence to Lismore and the factors (e.g. views, tree planting etc.).

Telecommunications
Lismore is served DSL, wireless and satellite broadband telecommunications services.

Electricity
The E.S.B. 38Kv sub-station is located to the north-east of Lismore on the back Cappoquin Road.

Sites & Development
The development strategy for Lismore is currently under review. Requests for submissions closed on 15th December 2006. The Draft Plan will be available here when it is prepared. Lismore Local Area Plan 2002-2008 (old plan). Lands available for industrial or commercial use are illustrated below.
