Kilmeaden

The village of Kilmeaden is strategically located on the N25, 8km from Waterford City and 37km from Dungarvan on the N25 Corridor. Waterford Regional Airport is 24km from Kilmeaden.

The population of Kilmeaden grew by 4.5% in the period 2002 - 2006. Because of its proximity to Waterford Gateway, it is anticipated that Kilmeaden will grow at an accelerated pace in the medium term. Waterford County Council has invested significantly in the infrastructure of the Town to accommodate this anticipated growth.

key strategic site in Waterford is Kilmeaden fields.  With a tradition of manufacturing, the former Glanbia cheese production site enjoys excellent infrastructure including gas, electricity, broadband, and integrated constructed wetland water treatment facility.  Kilmeaden Fields is a total of 105ha, of which 26ha is zoned for employment uses.  The site is located adjacent to the N25 Waterford City bypass, which links the City with the ports at Belview and Rosslare and provides ease of access to Dublin.
