Dunmore East

Is a picturesque coastal town located approximately 10km east of Waterford City. In 2002 the population of the Town was 1,663. It is expected that since 2002 the population of Dunmore East grew significantly, we await the full results of the 2006 census to confirm this.

The harbour area of Dunmore East acommodates a number of operattions that are related to the fishing industry. Proposals are advancing to develop an outer pier for commercial port traffic and an inner pier for amenity use.

As illustrated below, Light industrial zones are indicated at Killea, which is subject to the Killea Local Area Plan.
